A Vintage Tech product · In private use
The workshop for builders.
Run Ubuntu and Kali in sealed boxes, open real shells right in your browser, and rewind anything you break. Your main system is never touched. It's made for the 8 GB laptops most of us actually have.
Inside
Everything a builder needs, on one screen.
Eight tools that usually live in eight windows, in one calm workspace, driven by the keyboard.
Boxes
Ubuntu and Kali, desktop or terminal, each in its own sealed container. Break one, reset it. Your laptop never notices.
Shells in the browser
Real terminals in tabs, live and resizable. They only ever open inside a box, never on your main system.
Save points
Save a box before something risky. Rewind in seconds: the system and your home folder come back exactly as they were.
Memory guard
See what's eating your memory, on the laptop and in each box, and pause boxes in one click before things freeze.
Command palette
Ctrl+K, type "kali" or "save". Every action is a few keystrokes away.
Systems & activity
Every project you build, with its branch, changes and last commit, plus a timeline of everything you shipped.
Journal
A daily recap written from your commits, and private notes for each project. Saved on your machine only.
Desktops in windows
Full Ubuntu or Kali desktops as draggable windows inside the workspace, or popped out to a tab.
Why it exists
Built for how we really work.
Most tools assume a powerful machine and unlimited internet. Vintage Air assumes an ordinary laptop and a data bundle.
Early access
Vintage Air is in private use.
We build every Vintage Tech product with it. A public version for Debian and Ubuntu is on the way. Leave your details and you'll hear first.
